Time Slips Away

Well, I have to admit I've been very bad about not updating my blog. I apologize!! Time is just slipping away from me. I am currently working on my Masters degree and I have summer class which seems to occupy my free time. But don't worry, I'm still finding some time to socialize and shop!!!

I've found some great deals over the past month that I can't wait to share with you all! I may end up posting quite a bit at once instead of just once a day just so I can get caught up!

I was able to go on a weekend getaway to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg with my hubby and two of our closest friends for my upcoming birthday....so I was able to do some shopping while I was there. We also went to see the new Titanic Exhibit! Which I would highly recommend to anyone that will be traveling there. It was extremely interesting and touching. You can find out more information here:

How to describe a summer day in the South...one word..HOT!

Here in the South there is only word to describe summer...HOT!!! So I was in need of an outfit that would help keep me cool today! Sorry for the lack of nail polish I actually just took it off a few minutes ago because it was becoming chipped.

So today I put together a cute mini skirt that I've had for a while and a tank top that I purchased last summer! The jewelry was the key for me today! I paired a few pieces I hadn't before and here is what I've come up with. I was inspired by some bracelets I saw at Anthropologie this past weekend. By the way, they have a great sale room with some fabulous summer pieces in case anyone is looking!

What a DEAL

So, I finally am going to post some of the fabulous deals that I picked up recently! I know it has been a while, but I am actually getting around to it now!

I purchased a lot of great pieces at the NY&Co sale that I should be able to mix and match quite well! We will see how this all plays out of course over the summer.

So, here is one outfit that I've come up with so far! It is pretty simple but I think shows who I am, it is just a "me" outfit!!

The Old & The New

In the midst of picking out accessories for today's outfit I noticed something that I hadn't previously. How the old & the new sometimes seem to not change.....

I decided to put on one of my new fabulous dresses that I bought at NY&Co during their recent sale! But Wait! This could use some fabulous accessories.


So, I pulled out a fabulous belt that actually belonged to my Great-Grandmother...it is one of my favorites. It appears to be silver coated plastic, but has held up amazing throughout the years!


Then I thought I would wear one of my favorite silver rings. What I didn't think about is how well they match! I purchased this silver ring last year at a Car Show (of all things)..it is a huge silver flower. I have seen similar ones at TJMaxx within the past 6 months though, in case anyone is interested.


I was thrilled to realize that these could be an almost matching pair. Of course they have their differences but I think they look amazing paired together!!
